Thursday Already?

Geez! I need to stop and look at the date every day. I feel like I just misplaced 3 days or so. We have A LOT going on in the next week: BBQ with the uncles on Saturday, Bloomsday (a marathon) on Sunday, training on Tuesday, packing on Wednesday, and flying to Tacoma on Thursday. PHEW! We will get there.

This is what I love to see
We have definitely been enjoying the nice weather. The picture below was from yesterday when I was out with some alum from the program I run. Olivia and I have gotten out and enjoyed the shade (I have not gotten in the habit of using sun screen on her yet). Today we were up on Whitworth's beautiful campus.

I took this one with my phone!

Can't get enough of those puffs!

It has been a lady bug kind of week! She has worn a couple different outfits with lady bugs. Birthday theme??? I know, I know, it is WAY too early to think about that. But then again, not really. She will be 8 months next Wednesday and the way that my family is praying for football season to hurry and get here, she will be one before we know it! I guess that means that we need to get on this whole baby friends thing. Yeah, she does not have any :( But that is okay, maybe she will be an old soul like her mom :) We will just have to wait and see.

THOSE CHEEKS!! I COULD JUST KISS THEM ALL DAY!! <3 <3

You can see her eye color a little better in this photo

I am so thankful for this little lady. I do not know how to put it in words. Almost every day in the last week someone has pointed out how much she looks like her daddy. I love it! There are a lot of his features that I see in her. She has his hair line, his eye shape, his chin, and his hands; not to mention his hair color.

We Survived

Although being away from my baby girl was hard, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I survived being away from my baby, Mike survived daddy duty, and Olivia survived without mom! When you are breastfeeding, it is hard to tell how much milk your baby is drinking. So I will say that it was insightful to be away and to see how much she drinks. Take a look below! EIGHT BOTTLES! 40 ounces in 36 hours and I showed up at home full and ready to go. Another growth spurt?

I told Mike that even if he put Olivia down before I got home on Sunday that I would wake her up. Needless to say, I woke here up and enjoyed a few minutes with my little family. I am one happy lady to be home. :)

Is there another Whitworth Pirate in the future? :-)

Okay, I was hesitant to even post this picture because it was gross. BUT! I had to post it to show the transformation. I felt that it was unprofessional to wear my hair in a messy bun every day and I was frustrated that I could not do anything with it. So what do I do??? CHOP IT OFF! Yeah, I dropped Olivia off with Ben and just went and did it. What do you think? :)

Yup, our baby is trying to sleep on the keyboard. Haha! Maybe she is trying to listen to it; who knows.

The next pictures are from yesterday and earlier today. I am enjoying dressing up our baby girl in he beautiful spring weather.

A gift from Kellie, Tim, Marlene, Jamie, and Josh... THANK YOU! She loves it!

Love this one!

Oh yeah!

New Toys!

While dad was napping today, Olivia and I went out for a coffee date. Well, mom had coffee and she threw her puffs around :) We ended up walking around Fred Meyer (which I can tell you that we do WAYYYY too much!) and ended up in the toys. Fisher Price toys were 30% off! So I ended up getting a couple of things and a ball for her to play with. We have not really gotten into noise making toys but we may need to start moving there soon. And oh man, she LOVES the ball! Here are a couple of pictures that show her excitement :)

This one is from the end of the day, we were pretty worn out.

I do need to share that Olivia was put to bed at 8pm last night and I woke up at 5:40ish am this morning. For a moment I panicked because I had not heard from her at all during the night. So I immediately go to her room to check on her. What do I find? She was sitting there quietly in her crib! Yay! I am not sure how long she was sitting there but I was so excited. This is the first night that she has slept through the night in probably two months. And here is why I think it happened:

A TOOTH!! If you look close enough you can see the top of it poking through. It looks like a sliver. Oh man, tonight will help to tell us that that was the problem. Praying! Part of me was hoping that as soon as it cut through the gum that it would just SHOOT UP! Yeah, we are not done...

This will probably be the last blog until Sunday or even Monday. Tomorrow will be busy packing and prepping things for Mike, Friday I will be traveling, and Saturday I work all day. Although I may blog about how hard it is to be away from my baby girl for the first time overnight. I know that the time was going to come at some point but it will still be hard. I feel like my mom told me that the first time my parents went away without any kids was for their 10 year anniversary. Crazy! Maybe that was when they went away together... Mike and I are not sure when we will be ready to leave Olivia overnight with someone else yet. Not that we do not trust people, but we are just not ready yet.

Off to check on Olivia and then to get some sleep so I can hopefully get over this cold! Sweet dream/have a great day (depending on when you read this)!

Spring is Definitely Here

I am not sure how the weather is where you are, but the weather here has been GORGEOUS! The last two days it has been in the 70's. I have heard that it is supposed to rain the rest of the week but I am going to keep hoping. Yesterday out of no where, my throat started throbbing. Usually it is a build up but this time, BAM! it hurt. It moved to my nose over night so here we go!

Yesterday when I got home from work, we decided to go sit outside on our "lawn". If you have been to our house, you know that it is not much of a lawn at all. It is definitely not a place that I will let Olivia go unless she stays on a blanket. Here are some of my favorites of the photos that we did outside (most of them were taken by my wonderful husband):

Family photo with the new camera!

Deep blue eyes! <3

These next ones are from today. We just can't get enough! And seeing as how this blog is all about baby Olivia, there can never be enough pictures :) I just wish it would let me post longer videos :/

There are some kinks in her hair! At ones point it was sitting on top of her head, that is probably what it is from.

We are two days into this strange week and Mike and I found ourselves snuggling on the floor (I know I know... Too Much Information!) talking to the XBOX and trying to get it to do different things. As it turns out, we were unsuccessful and ended up just laying there and laughing. Side note: we are realizing that with a baby, the hours in the day seem to have been cut in half. It makes it worse for us because we work different hours. So, we are working on putting our phones away when we are together so that we can actually spend time together. If it is an emergency and we do not answer, just send us a text that says EMERGENCY and we will call you back.

These two photos were from this morning when Olivia came to work with me. She was knocked out when I put her in the car to come home for a nap. It had been a while since I brought her to work with me. Everyone was so excited to see her and she was showing off her crawling and her ability to pull herself up, even on a wall when there is nothing to grip. She is totally ready for summer!

Quiet Weekend

It is always sad to be getting ready for bed on a Sunday night and you are forced to acknowledge the fact that you have to go to work in the morning... Although this will be an interesting week as Mike is working graveyard from Monday-Thursday and when he gets off at 6am on Friday, he has to be back at 2pm for his regular shift. I will be getting ready to leave for Tacoma on Friday.

I just LOVE this photo!

She has gotten so good at pulling herself up and we are working on helping her let go of our hands when she is standing. She is doing a pretty good job! My brothers Ben and Ryan came over for a little while today and they could not believe how fast she has gotten in the last two weeks!

Getting ready for walking!

Yeah, since all of her hair is right on top of her head we decided to make a mohawk.
Olivia was running a little fever today so we just hung out at home until we went to get a thermometer for her forehead. Pretty nifty little things! I thought it would be easy to use with her. NOPE! I should know better, she does not make things easy :)

Snuggles with a sick baby!
So that story I shared a couple blogs ago of her smashing her face into the couch to get comfortable? Yeah, Mike got to experience that the other night and he was dying laughing! It was the cutest thing! I really just wanted to post up some pictures for you all <3
