Weekend Festivities and a Doctors Appointment

Although we did not travel all that much, I have to give kudos to my parents for packing for NINE! We had trouble trying to remember everything just for the three of us. We finally hit the road just before 7am Saturday morning, right after Mike got off of work. He showed up with a full tank, coffee for both of us, and was sweet enough to drive! <3 I have not had myself together enough to do a long drive. However, I did take over in Cle Elum.

Olivia did great! To our knowledge, she slept until about the Narrows Bridge. Then it was screaming almost all the way to grandma's house. They were so excited when we arrived! But I had to make them wait a little longer so that I could change and feed Olivia. :/ Great-grandma Barb, great-auntie Dawn (Mike's grandma and aunt on his mom's side), and auntie Kim where there as well. And Olivia was finally able to meet grandpa Randy for the first time! We had a great time visiting that evening.

I will have to have Sheila email me the photos that she took so that I can share them. I was so tired that I did not bother to take my phone out for a while.

Always in the defensive mode!

Snuggles and nap time with daddy!

Thank you grandpa and grandma Cole for the Pack 'n' Play!

Sunday was an early start as Mike and I got up and ready for the Seahawks game! (Sorry, if you want to know about Olivia's Sunday you will have to ask Sheila as we were not there :) But I will tell you about our adventure!)

I'll try to make it short: We stopped by my parents and had Megan drive us to the bus; which was a very short ride up to Seattle. Mike really wanted to buy me a new jersey so we went shopping. While we were in line, this guy came up to the line near us and was shocked at how long it was. He paced back and forth trying to offer people $10 to cut in line. When no one took him up on the offer, he "was looking at merchandise" while moving with the line. I turned to Mike and asked him if he wanted to get a car decal. He thought for a moment, asked me to hand it to him, and then tapped the guy who was cutting in line on the shoulder. "Hey, I'll let you cut us if you buy us this car decal". the guy looked shocked and asked how much if was. Only $8 and he was excited to cut for a discount! So we got a free decal. Then the guy ringing us up forgot to ring up the jersey and when Mike pointed it out, he gave us a 15% discount! It was a great start to the day; too bad the Seahawks did not win :( I will not bore you with that story but thank you Jon for the tickets!

After the game, we met up with Kim, Chris, and his sister Misty. We went to the Tap House Grill in downtown Seattle for a drink and some appetizers before heading home. They were nice enough to drive us back to our car. But on the way, we stopped to get an ICE CREAM CAKE!! One of the best decisions :)

Let me just conclude this part of the story by saying that going all day without pumping is not fun... lesson learned.

I posted this photo and the one in the tutu on Facebook and some lady thought I posted photos of two different girls!

New outfit that we picked up for Pumpkin!

New gloves for Mike

Monday was a long drive home. But before we left, we stopped by Grandma Sheila's work to have lunch with her and so that Olivia could meet her coworkers. And go figure, Olivia decided to blow out of two diapers! One of which happened and then when I went to pick her up, I put by hand on her butt and got it covered in poop... not a great topping for my burrito... Grandma bought pumpkin some cute clothes and I cannot wait to put them on her.

Visiting grandma at work!
We stopped in Cle Elum to fill up on gas and use the restroom. I went in and then came back to take Olivia to change her. I got into the bathroom, got everything all laid out, AND THEN realized that the wipes were not in the diaper bag -_- Thankfully I had not taken off her diaper yet. I called Mike three times with no answer. So what do I do? Pack everything up, walk to the diaper isle, pick up some wipes, march back to the bathroom and change her. It had to be done. Don't worry, we did pay for the wipes. The rest of the drive was long as we spent far too long trying to find a station that was playing Monday Night Football.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, Olivia's medical card came in the mail! When I called her doctor to reschedule her appointment, I discovered that the one today was never cancelled. So, we had an appointment at 2:40. I put her in a new outfit and discovered that peach is NOT her color :)
She was given a wrist rattle! One of the coolest gifts!
We also tried her Bumbo seat for the first time!
Here are the results from the doctor: Healthy baby girl! She does have an acne breakout on her cheeks, her thrush is back (or didn't leave), and her hands are always cold. But the doctor said that is all normal and that she should be hitting a growth spurt soon.
Weight: 10.9 pounds                         Percentile: 80%
Height: 23.5 inches                           Percentile: 100%
Head Circumference: 14.8 inches     Percentile: 66%
I cannot believe how quickly pumpkin is growing up! She almost weighs as much as our kitty cats :) Her next appointment is in about a month.
I feel like there is so much that I am forgetting to share! Well, as I remember I will make sure to post it. I seem to talk to Megan a lot, she may be able to remind me of things that I forgot :) Off to bed now so that I can get some work done tomorrow!
