November 1st: I am thankful for rainy days at home.
No where to be and nothing to do. It was great to just spend the day at home with our little family :) If you know us, you know that Mike LOVES the rain and I greatly dislike (I am working on not using the word hate so much) the rain. But every once in a while, the rain can be calming when you have nothing to think about. It is great to get to sleep in, snuggle up, and just relax. We were going to go to Ryan's football game but it was raining :(
I know that in the following pictures the flower is bigger than her but I think that is what makes them so cute!

HAHAHA!! <3 <3 |
It amazes me that such a happy adorable baby can turn into this!:
Yup, this is how our day ended...
She sounds like she is getting some phlegm. I hope that she isn't getting sick :(

November 2nd: I am thankful for morning smiles and storybook time.
We have gotten into the routine of waking up, feeding Olivia, having lots of smiles, and then reading a book or two. Saturday morning when Mike came home from work, I had just finished feeding Olivia and we were laying on the floor in her room with the light off. There was just a little light coming through the window. Mike came in and laid on the floor with us. I asked him to hand me a book while I turned on my flashlight app on my phone. He handed me a book called The Rainbow Fish.
Laying on the floor in between me and Mike, Olivia was entranced by the shiny scales as the light made them sparkle. It was such a great moment. We are slowly working our way through all of the wonderful books that we were given to start building a library for Olivia. I hope that she doesn't get "too old" for story time for years to come!
She ended up being a little cranky today, but it was a pretty good day. I am starting to think that she is a morning girl like her mommy :)
Ellie was kind enough to watch Olivia while Mike and I went on a date to watch the comedian Lewis Black perform. It was hilarious! And it was nice to get away and know that Pumpkin was being taken care of fully. I know that there are lots of people who would and are willing to babysit, and we will be needing help in the future. We are just trying to figure out babysitting etiquette. What is the right amount to pay? Who can we trade babysitting with and what for? Can we afford a babysitter? We cannot afford actual childcare and we are okay with that. We are new at this and just need to do some research and talk to other parents with little ones.
