Sunday Night Football

What a wonderful way to start the week, with a SEAHAWK win!! That is all that I have to say about that.

Enjoying a nap in her daddy's arms
Well, we had an interesting situation today. Our neighbor came over and knocked on the door and I went to answer. He wanted to point out that there was a guy sitting on the lawn of the other half of his duplex, so the unit right on the corner. The guy was sitting crisscrossed and was slouched forward with one of his hands out propping himself up slightly. Our neighbor said that he had gone over and yelled at the guy to try and get a response but did not want to touch him; I don't blame him! He said that the guy had been there for about two hours like that and couldn't tell if he was breathing. So Mike decided to call someone and the fire department came out. When they first touched him and laid him back, there was no movement and we were pretty freaked out; Mike even sent me back inside but I ended up watching from the window. We finally saw movement after a few moments! When the guy stood up, it was actually a kid that I do not think could have been more than 15 years old. We went inside and do not know what had happened to him. They chatted with him for a few minutes and then left. Crazy.

Always makes the day better, and I am trying to get myself in the mood for Christmas since there is no snow

Trip, Day Two: On Sunday of our trip, great grandpa and grandma Lewis let us borrow their car to travel across the Bay to my mom's mom's house (Great-grandma Loretta Nunes). It was wonderful to be able to visit both of my grandparents and the weather was pretty good.

Great-grandma holding a picture of her mother. Beautiful ladies! <3

She was supposed to be sleeping but when I quietly opened the door, this is what I saw, she was starring at the ceiling :)

This is how we spent part of the day, watching the Hawks kick some butt and the Niners lose!

My mom's cousin Molly and my mom
It was wonderful to see some more relatives that I have not seen in a while. We were able to see my grandma, my uncles Mark and Lon, my great-aunt Marian, and my mom's cousin Molly and her husband Talal.

At one point during the day, Megan, Mark, and I snuck out of the house and went to the store. Wellm, it was not really sneaking because we were asked to get mild sausage for dinner. Great-grandma Nunes made Jambalaya..... YUMMY!!!! She was even kind enough to make me my own batch without cayenne pepper so that it would not be spicy for Olivia. We also had pot roast, grilled asparagus and green beans with onion. We had a great time catching up and sharing stories.

Olivia had a rough day that day and was pretty fussy. She continued to puke up most of what she ate which had me worried. Megan and I were up most of the night (I did not go to bed until 4am) because she was studying for a final and I was reading apps that were due Monday morning. We did stay the night at great-grandma's house and spent the morning with her and uncle Mark. We left at about noon on Monday to head back to great-grandpa's house before we flew back to Seattle. Thank you great-grandma and Mark for letting us stay with you!
