OLIVIA ROLLED OVER TODAY!
Talk about being proud parents :D Mike ran to the store and I had Olivia on the floor in front of a mirror on her stomach. I looked up at the TV for a moment and when I looked back she rolled over on her own <3 I called Mike to tell him and then when he got home, we tried it again and that is the video above. So exciting to watch her grow and hit mile stones. This blog is not going to be long but I wanted to share that we hit a milestone and are so excited. She is going through a phase where she does not want to be put down so I did a lot of holding her and helping her stand up. We did cuddle for her nap this afternoon which is probably one of the best feelings ever; cuddling with a baby.
Oh that hair :) |
Wearing her new bow from Katie :) |
This evening I was talking to Goober and told her it was a good day because we did not put her in her car seat! She started to laugh :) She has no idea what I am saying. I do think that she knows that she is cute.
Here are some other pictures from the day (I am learning a how to move the pictures around a little! That way they are not just in one big line).
I had to cut her arms out of this one because they were in motion. She poses so well! |
We started looking at ways to transition her out of the swaddle blanket for when the time comes. I do not anticipate doing that now but it will be here before we know it. One lady said that one night she was watching her baby sleep on her video monitor and saw the baby roll all the way over while in the swaddle blanket. That did it for her! She transitioned the baby right away. Olivia rolled from tummy to back but has not done back to tummy yet so she can enjoy her swaddler. However, people are saying that there will be some sleepless nights while the transitions are happening but that it will happen eventually.
Yeah, yeah. I know that I cannot do Throwback Thursday on a Saturday but I am :D I came across this photo that our friend Saralyn took not long after we brought Olivia home. I LOVE IT! She absolutely loves her daddy and you can see how much Mike loves her, even from the beginning.
I am hoping to finish up sharing our trip to San Fran tomorrow (if I tell people that I am going to do it, I am actually more inclined to do it).
