I feel like it was just a few hours ago that I was waking up to get ready for the day. And yet here we are, it is 10:45pm and I have a breakfast function that I need to be at at 7:00am tomorrow. Just like today, tomorrow will go by in a flash as I am leading training from 5:30-8pm. It is a constant reminder that every moment that I get to spend with Mike and Olivia is precious. I say that as I sit here and blog and Mike is gaming :) But it is okay be cause I know that by the time my alarm goes off at 4:45am that I will be cuddling with my little family and not wanting to get out of bed but instead lay their and watch the two of them dream (is that creepy??? I don't care)
With summer just around the corner and little miss almost walking, we bought her a CUTE little floppy hat and some sandals! I will say that I am pretty sure I saw her doing bear crawls today because I had her in a dress and it was easier for her to move that way.... BEAR CRAWLS! Unbelievable...
The next four photos are quality time with dad <3
It is good to share! |
Oh look! More pictures of the hat :)
We spent some time just hanging out in the car today. For some reason I decided to take along my camera so I decided to snap a few photos.
I had the opportunity to attend a program at the Police Academy here in Spokane. I was there with a program that I help out with for work. We were able to see tasers and one of our students had the opportunity to fire it at a target, not a human. We are also taken outside to watch one of the K9 units in action. It was such a wonderful experience for the staff and students alike. What a great reminder that police officers are humans too and how important they are to our society. It was wonderful to be able to interact with them in a positive setting. It got me thinking about how different the world will be when Olivia is in high school. I want her to grow up with a great amount of respect for those who serve our country and communities. There are a lot of youth today who have no respect and it makes me sick. It really does give you perspective when you are able to ask someone why they serve. How blessed we are that people are willing to put their lives on the line so that we do not have to. Thank you to anyone reading this who has served their community or country.
Oh yeah! Did I mention that she is TEETHING!?!?!?
I wish that I could use arrows. Where the two red dots are is where we can see the very tip top of the teeth. How exciting! New adventures lay ahead of us and we are excited and ready :)
