Too Much Cuteness!

I should apologize in advance for the bombardment of photos except that I know none of you will care. In fact, that is the whole reason that you follow my blog. I would even bet that some people only come here to look at the photos and play the videos and do not even read what I write... and I am okay with that because the pictures are my favorite part too :)

We cannot believe that today, our sweet little baby girl, Olivia Mae (Pumpkin) Atwater is a MONTH OLD! It is just crazy to think. I woke up this morning to Olivia screaming her head off in her bed. And although I felt bad, when I got her out of bed, she was awake and we had a very enjoyable morning. Here are some of the first photos that I took:

I know that it is a lot of the same photo but I actually bought this dress to bring her home from the hospital in. It was on her in the hospital for all of maybe 5 minutes. So I have waited for a month to see how precious she looks in it! And I LOVE it! What better day to turn a month old on than the day the Seahawks play and to have them win. :)

Not too much later, Olivia had been sleeping in her swing when I saw her start to move and make noises. So I got up and walked over to see what was going on. This is what I found:

My heart melted!! <3 Our little pumpkin was smiling! I have no idea what was making her smile. The only thing that had changed this morning was that she woke up and was a month old and I found a duck toy that hangs for babies to play with so I attached it to the arm of the swing for her to stare at with the other toys. I was so excited to see her smiling while awake! Up until now it had only happened in her sleep. It will not be long before her daddy will be making her smile and laugh.

We went over to hang out with uncle Jon and his girlfriend Katie at Katie's parents' house for the Seahawks game. At some point in the game, Olivia decided to fill her diaper and it squirted out the side onto her onsie, her blanket, and her pretty tutu dress. Yuck! This one was messy and stinking (and I know it will only get worse from here). Towards the end of the game, auntie Katie was holding Olivia while she slept. All of a sudden, Olivia started to move and then started to breath deep and cry in her sleep :'( My poor baby was having a bad dream! It must have been a really bad one. Katie was great and just talked to her and woke her up a little.

Someone knew that it was bedtime and did not like the idea

This last picture that I posted breaks my heart. Every day until today, Olivia has fallen asleep for the night in someone's arms; mostly mine. Tonight I decided to to try to get her to fall asleep while in her bed. I will be going back to work at the end of the month and need to get Olivia on a schedule and sleeping on her own. I did tell Mike to not be surprised though if I give in a lot and she ends up in our bed more often than not.

And to think that I was freaked out about having a girl. I still think it will be interesting as she grows up but I am so in love with her. That video that I posted the other day with the cute little sigh? Yeah, I watch it several times a day :) I cannot get over it! I know that I cannot wait to see what new talents she shows us in month #2. She is already great at holding up her head, is starting to strengthen her legs, and showed me a smile today. It will only get better from here :) Maybe we will do this again some day and have child #2.

Here are a few more photos from yesterday that auntie Megan sent me today:

"'I'm alive, awake, alert, enthusiastic!"

Look at those eyes!
