Yes, that is correct. I am thankful for Google. It is so wonderful for many reasons! We enjoy being able to Google things that come up with Olivia and learning some things on our own without having to wait to talk to the doctor about it; which can be intimidating or sometimes I will forget. Today I am thankful for a specific reason: How to get baby poop out of clothes. Olivia was given so many cute clothes to wear and I want to be able to save my favorites, or at least keep the outfits until she outgrows them. Well, she has been blowing out of her diapers lately and it is frustrating to have to either make sure that she is wearing pants to hide the stain or throw them away :( NOT TODAY! I was angry when I went to change her diaper and noticed that she had leaked onto her onsie (not that she has a choice of where it goes) so I decided to Google and this is what I found. There were two methods and I did both of them:
Both methods said to soak the clothing/item immediately in cold water and to rinse off as much of the poop as you can.
One of the methods said to use dish soap and rub it into the stain. So I did.
The other method said to wash the clothing/item in warm water and on normal wash as the extra agitation would help to remove the stain. And to wash it using Oxi Clean, I did that too.
The next step was to line dry the clothing/item and to wait to see if the stain was removed, if not, rewash it the same way.
And here is the before and after!
I am so thankful and glad that it worked! We are still working our way through the diapers that we were given as gifts and trying to figure out which ones we like the best and which ones we should avoid because they just do not work. Thank you Google!!

Sundays at the Atwater house have become about football, at least for the fall and winter. We have talked about trying a new church soon. Even though we are not as strong in our faith right now as we used to be or would like to be, we do want Olivia raised in the church. We both recognize the value it has in even just providing morals and values. We will probably have to try a few before we can agree on one; we do have some differences in what we look for in a church. But we will get there! This morning was spent watching the Hawks play. Win or lose, we are fans.I could not pick a favorite so I am posting them all :D Thank you grandma Marietta for the outfit! <3
Ready for the game! |
It is so nice to have Mike home and awake during the day. Although we will be on more of the same schedule, I will still have to take him to work on days that I have things in the evening and then go and pick him up at 10pm. It was never a big deal before but it now means that Olivia will not be getting to bed until at least 10:30pm during the week. I guess that means more/longer naps during the day! I put her down at 8pm this evening to see how long she will sleep for. Mike is knocked out also. He started fading at about 4:30pm today. I was able to convince him to stay up a little later otherwise he would have been up at 3am.
Getting ready for a walk to the store to get Oxi Clean! |
She knocked out after spending a few minutes licking her carrier because she did not want her binky. HAHA! |
When we got home, I decided to give Olivia a mohawk. Her hair is always the same and I wanted to see how long it was. Below is the before and after :) As soon as I put water in it, it started to curl.

Watching football with daddy before bedtime, for them both |
I noticed today that her cry does not sound as much like and infant :'( is it supposed to change this soon!? I also noticed that she did not smell as much like an infant. That seems to be more about what part of her I am smelling and the time of day. Waking up with her is the best part of my day and putting her down to sleep at night is the hardest. I wonder how long it will continue to be that way. It will be a busy week at work for me as I have a huge event on Saturday. We will take this week one day at a time as we are adjusting to anther new schedule as Mike is rotating shifts.
