Days 14 and 15

November 15th: I am thankful for the guidance and advice of my parents.

Yesterday was not a good day. I woke up very tired and did not want to do ANYTHING. Sheila called and suggested that I try to get Olivia in sooner than her next appointment which was scheduled for the 9th of December. After switching insurance and calling to check if a new pediatrician takes her insurance, I got her a new appointment for this coming Tuesday! We will get her all checked out and hopefully her shots too.

I was able to get a few things done but it had been a long week and I just wanted to sleep. I was able to have some conversations with both of my parents about my drama and being a parent. It is nice to truly be able to relate to them now. It is true, you will never be able to really understand until you go through it yourself. Thank you dad an mom for being there to listen to me. I love you!

Her curls are really starting to show after she gets out of the bath!

My day got a little better as I was able to calm Olivia down and she didn't scream the whole time. After Mike woke up, I just needed to get out of the house and try to clear my head. We decided to go to a store to just walk around. As soon as we got in the car, the battery light came back on -_- We immediately went to O'Reilly's to have it checked out. What was discovered was that a few of the bolts that Mike had tightened had wiggled loose! PHEW! Easy fix! We really can't afford for anything else to go wrong. We ended up just going across the street and walking around Walmart. It was nice to just get out. We bought some holiday scented candles and a few new clothes for Olivia.

Checkin out the camera!

November 15th: I am thankful that this morning is the last time that Mike will come home from a graveyard shift for 12 weeks. Really, I am jsut thankful for the whole day.

I woke up this morning to the smell of eggs and sausage cooking. Not but a few minutes later, Mike brought me breakfast in bed. <3 As I walked to the kitchen to put the dishes in the sink, I noticed that he had stopped at the store and bought me roses! Aren't they beautiful?

That just made me forget about my rough week. Then, I was telling him that I needed to try to get Olivia to fall asleep so that I could get some work done. Without even thinking, he told me to get baby girl wrapped up and that he would walk her down to Fred Meyers so that I could focus. I was so thankful!

Here is the outfit she wore that grandma Sheila bought her! Staying warm :)

Part of the reason that he took her is because now that he will be switching to swing shift, 2-10pm, starting Monday, he needed to reset his body clock so he was trying to stay up all day. He did pretty well except for a short nap in the afternoon. I cannot even imagine having to rotate shifts like he is doing. I do not think that I would survive graveyard shifts sitting by myself in the weather that we have been having.

If you know me well, you know that Polka Dot Pottery is one of my favorite places to go and a HUGE stress reliever for me. I went in when Olivia was six weeks to have her foot and hand prints done. They called me today to let me know that they were done! I missed the call because I was putting Olivia down for a nap. I had to see what they looked like so I kinda woke Mike up from his nap to tell him that I was leaving (he wasn't really awake) and I took off. As soon as I got to PDP, I got a text from Mike saying that he just discovered that he was home alone with a screaming baby. OOPS!

We spent the evening just hanging out at home. Mike played on his computer while I hung out with baby girl. Then we worked together and rearranged our bedroom. It actually looks much bigger!

I have missed my snuggle buddy. Halfway through my pregnancy it just got uncomfortable to cuddle. Then I was sleeping on the couch with Olivia. Not long after that, Mike went to graveyard. It will be wonderful to be on somewhat of the same schedule again. Mike says that he actually really likes swing shifts. He continues to apply for new jobs. Lord willing he will find something soon. He has always done really well in interviews.

Well, I hope that when I wake up in the morning that I know where I am! It is time to get some sleep as the Seahawks play early tomorrow.

Yes, she is sucking on her thumb and pointer finger at the same time.
